How does the Sweet Like You technology work?
We use the Chocolography ™ Food Imaging System™ which creates high-resolution images directly on the surface of confectionary items. It’s amazing how real they look on a totally edible product. Since 1998 The Chocolate Printing Company has spent millions of dollars on its revolutionary patented Food Imaging System.
Is everything edible?
Everything is edible and delicious. The chocolate is manufactured at The Chocolate Printing Company’s facilities in New York. The printing surface of the chocolate is coated with a thin layer of frosting made from egg white and powdered sugar. The printing is actually done on the frosting.
What about the ink?
Unlike many other processes for printing on cakes or cookies, Chocolography’s Food Imaging Systems uses unique cartridges filled with FDA approved food coloring. These special inks produce remarkably accurate pictures, graphics, logos and text on the surface of the delicious chocolate.
Can you provide Kosher chocolate?
The Chocolography manufacturing facility is certified Kosher.
Can I buy less than the minimum order?
Yes, but there will be a special setup and artwork fee. Contact us for details on that exact amount.
What is the shelf life of the chocolate?
If stored properly the chocolate and the image will still be delicious for 6-12 months. Keep at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate or freeze, as it will cause the product to sweat and effect the image. If kept as a memento, the chocolate image has a shelf life of 5-10 years.
Can the chocolate be shipped in the summer?
Absolutely. We have our chocolate products shipped to Texas from the manufacturing facility in New York throughout the year, regardless of season or temperature. To handle the summer’s higher temperatures when shipping to non-local customers we use FedEx overnight and typically use cold packs, which adds $10 to the shipping costs.
Can you print on other food products?
Yes, we can print on cookies, candy and a variety of confectionary products. If we can fit it into one of our dozens of different shape and size templates, we can print on it.
Do you have different types of chocolate?
We also offer white and dark chocolate.
How can we come up with my personalized image for my special occasion?
We can scan your photo or artwork or you can send it via email. We have literally thousands of clipart items that can be used to customize your image. And we can use dozens of different font styles to make your special message stand out.
How can I get a retail price list?

What is the standard time frame (Production time) for a order?
Between 5 - 10 working days.
Time starts when artwork or photos are received and payment terms are approved.
How do you handle changes to an order?
All order changes must be confirmed in writing or via verification email.
Artwork can be emailed, mailed or faxed when appropriate.
Pictures should be in the form of a JPEG or GIF and of a resolution 150DPI or greater.
Sorry, we can not accept verbal orders.
How do you handle canceled orders?
We bill you for all work performed to point of cancellation plus $20.00.
